Affordable Housing Lottery in Far Rockaways Beach Green Dunes II is open

The Bluestone Organization is almost finished with the construction of Beach Green Dunes II in the Far Rockaway neighborhood of Queens. The new building which is seeking 421a tax abatement. Therefore, the Beach Green Dunes II is set to offer 30% of its units to  New York’s Affordable Housing Project.

The Beach Green Dunes II in Far Rockaway will be a mix-use building standing at 8- stories high and will measure approximately 121,000 square feet. The developers have planned to set approximately 2,495 square foot of dry proofed commercial space. The project is L+M developments first building designed and built to world’s leading standard in energy efficient construction, Passive House.

The Beach Green Dunes II has assigned 113 units to affordable housing rentals. The units all range from studios to one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms, and even three-bedrooms apartments and will have the asking rent of $331 – $1,910. Qualifying New Yorker’s must show they earn between 30 percent and 100 percent of the area median income, a minimum of  $13,303 and a maximum of $121,000. Household sizes between one person and a family of six are all welcome to apply.

As of Monday, March 18th, 2019 the affordable housing lottery for The Beach Green Dunes II is officially open and accepting applications.
