Lottery Open for 4181 3rd Avenue and 1888 Bathgate Avenue in the Bronx

The newly constructed massive residential complex on 4181 3rd Avenue and 1888 Bathgate Avenue is now accepting affordable housing lottery applications. The new development is seeking 421a tax abatement, therefore, developers have set aside 30% of the building’s units to affordable housing rentals. The building, also known as The Wilfrid,  has assigned 149 units to the affordable housing program.

The lottery is now open and qualifying New Yorkers are welcome to apply until May 21, 2019. To qualify for the affordable housing rentals applicants must show they earn between $18,240 annually and $133,100 annually. The affordable housing units at The Wildfrid range from studios to one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms and, some three-bedroom units. The rent range for the affordable rentals is start as low as $462 per month for a studio apartment and $2,136 for a three-bedroom apartment. Households of one to six people are all welcome to apply.
